POETRY SELECTIONS by BE

Mountains of mist

A mountain of fog is blocking my way.
A trail of confusion till the heat of the
Day. But if I have patience and wait for
A night, the mist will disperse, I’ll notice the light

Fire Hydrant

Standing alone in the rain
A tall ruby in the emerald city

Treehouse

Tall and sturdy
Resistant to noise
Elements pound down
Encouraging equanimity
High as a birds nest
Out of the crowds
Under the clouds
Swaying in the sky, an
Escape from civilization

Batting

Twelve judging eyes as I step to the plate. I practiced my batting so I won’t swing late. “Ball four” It’s a walk and I jog to the base. Twelve happy eyes and a smile on my face.
