The Stick's Fault by SC

Once, when I was 4, I was playing at the park with my friends. Hours later… I had to go home for lunch. I came back and we were having a great time! One hour later… I had to go to soccer practice.

But on my way home, I saw this really cool stick. I picked it up, but my dad told me to put it back down. So I did. After that, I begged my mom to go outside once more. She said, “Fine. You can go, once more. But remember, do not- I mean it- do not look down when you run, ok?” “Ok.” I said. I wasn’t really paying attention so I sprinted outside. I was looking down while running trying to find the stick.

Then! I bumped my chin on the bench and my whole mouth started to bleed. One man went to get my parents and my mom came. I was coughing way too much blood. My thumb also got fractured. I was rushed over to the ER. A Lot happened after that.

I came back home to find out that I had officially lost my two front teeth. The dentists had to remove my teeth so my gums wouldn't get infected.

Also, they did surgery on my right thumb. All my yearbook pictures looked horrible. I really hated them. I also had a hard time writing because of my right thumb. I lost my front teeth for about four years!

I could literally only eat cereal, muffins, milk, and more varieties of soft foods. It was really hard for me for the first few months. After that, I had to adjust. Looking at all those potato chips. They smelled and looked so good.

After four years though, they finally came. I looked normal, ate normal, and yeah. I really hate that stick. It prevented me from eating potato chips. I mean, my mom did tell me not to look down while running. Still, I am very mad at that stick. But that's something I learned the hard way.

The End.
